New Tilt Smart Lectern With control systems now common in boardrooms, classrooms and auditorium applications, Wilson & Gilkes has collaborated with AMX Australia to produce a lectern to suit the new AMX MVP-9000i touch panel.

Key features of the MVP-9000i are a capacitive touch overlay and wired plus wireless network connectivity. The design team at Wilson & Gilkes in close consultation with AMX and with feedback from AV consultants has designed the new “Tilt Smart” Lectern to harness these features.

The totally re-designed lectern top incorporates the MVP-TDS-9 docking station into the lectern. The MVP-9000i can sit flush with the lectern working top, providing an aesthetically pleasing and practical area. The capacitive overlay means papers inadvertently placed on the panel will not activate functions.

Additionally, Wilson & Gilkes have designed hinge mechanism based on AMX’s SmoothTilt™ feature that allows the MVP-9000i to tilt out of the top up to30 degrees. This allows for a perfect viewing angle for any presenter and for the touch panel to be un-docked for wireless operation. The “Tilt Smart” Lectern will make its debut at Integrate 2011 on the AMX stand and the Wilson & Gilkes Stand.
